Happy Thanksgiving!

In between Kwaj posts, I just want to offer a holiday wish to my Kwaj friends for a safe and happy Thanksgiving. :grin: I hope to return soon with yet another post about life on Kwaj as I remember it, but meanwhile I hope everyone enjoys the holiday and spends time with family and friends. That’s what’s important. :smile: And don’t get caught up in that Friday-after-Thanksgiving shopping madness. :roll:

Over the holiday I hope to give my oh-so-lame home page a small facelift. It’ll still be lame, but marginally better than what’s there now. :wink:

Through the Lens

If you’ve already visited my online Kwaj photo gallery, you know that I spent a fair amount of time viewing life on Kwaj through the camera lens. I sometimes wonder how much of my memory from those days is actually burned into my brain vs. being fed directly from the photos I have depicting the way things were. Inevitably, I conclude that most of what I remember stands on its own without the snapshots since many of my recollections are not represented anywhere in my photo collection. How nice it is, though, to remember hearing Mr. Hildebrand read The Outsiders to us in 6th grade, and to actually have a picture of him doing it. :grin: (more…)
